Until recent years, share trading only took place on the floor of the New York, Tokyo or London Stock Exchange (there are also regional stock exchanges in different smaller cities plus a few other major stock exchange markets). Point is that access to share trading was only limited to a small group of licensed brokers who were down on the floor taking orders from different clients around the world. But now, with the evolution of the Internet, online share trading allows us to freely trade in real time - all that's required is a computer with Internet connection and a credit card. As a matter of fact, brokers have also gone online and about 90% of all trading is done over the Internet on computer screens and telephones and the floor of the Stock Exchange is almost deserted.

One way of making money is to make it work for you in the stock market. Rather than sit around waiting to get rich by discovering the next Microsoft, why not trade stock and keep your money moving. You can set your buy points and exit points, then trade accordingly. I am not going to kid you though, this is not an easy thing to do and it can take a long time to get the experience and know-how to trade effectively and start making money. If you can master it though, the rewards are huge and you can do it from anywhere in the world that has an internet connection.
