If we accept the genrally held view that mankind causes global warming, then it is obvious that we have to find ways to reduce the amount of pollution that we emit. This means that the obvious ways to prevent global warming become:
Reducing the amount that we travel, increasing our use of public transport, or other pooled transport if possible. Curtailing our use of air travel, and beginning to treat it as a manevolant induldgance, rather than the worldwide doorway that it has become. Also we must Improve the energy efficiency of the fuel buring methods of transport that we do use.
Change our focus to renewable energy sources. Harnessing the energy of the wind, by building windfarms, the sea by building hydroelectric barrages, the sun, by use of thermal panels, and our rivers by building dams. Inevitably Nuclear Power must also feature, as it does in Europe, particularly France, despite the potential it poses if things go wrong.
